A CADelicious Experience

with 2 comments

Before I saying anything, just look at the image below. You will understand what a CADelicious Experience means. I tried it and liked it. And yes, I bet you can’t resist it either.

Few days back, I got a Facebook invite from one of my friend to like a Page about a Café which was to start very soon in my locality i.e. Mulund. But obvious, I liked it and so I joined. And then I was curious to know more about it and share it with you.

Cad-B is a Drink and Ice Cream Café originated in Pune and now spreading their reach to Mumbai and other cities in India. As said on their website www.cad-b.com, their aim is “To give a drink that is beyond imagination”.

And they further say, “It was out of a constant determination to give a never before chocolate experience that Cad-B was born. You can neither bite on it nor can you sip on it, it is something in between :)”

So I decided to check it myself at Mulund. And here is what my experience is: –

Their USP drinks which I came to know from them and which I and my friend tasted are the thick chocolate milk shakes – Cad-B and Cad-M. Cad-B is more chocolate and less cream whereas Cad-M is less chocolate and more cream.

Cad-B also offers different other CAD shakes in the form of White Cad, Almond Cad, Dry Fruit Cad, Eclair Cad, Snicker Cad amongst others. The Parlour also sells different flavours of Ice-Creams and thick shakes of different flavours. See their mouth-watering menu below: –

I liked Cad-B more than Cad-M. It had small pieces of chocolates (or brownies as they say) in it. That was yummy, had a divine feeling. Taste it once and you will surely crave for more.

And what do I say about delicious, sumptuous & mouth-watering Cad-B Sandwich? Doesn’t this image say it all?

I would be a regular patron of this Café. What about you?

Govt officer caught taking bribe from son to sign on his poor report card

leave a comment »

Mumbai:

A Maharashtra Electricity Board Officer was today arrested by the Corruption Prevention Bureau (CPB) for allegedly accepting a bribe here on Tuesday. Junior Assessment Engineer H. S. Waghmare was allegedly accepting the bribe of Rs. 500 from his Son to sign on his school’s annual report card.

The CPB Assistant Director Mr. A. S. Pasriwal told the reporters that they had received a complaint from the Principal of the school where the Officer’s Son studies had complained to them few months back. The accused Officer had allegedly demanded money from his Son during his mid-term exam results when he did not score good grades.

The Prinicipal Dr. Mrs. Reeta Gupta said, “We had called Mr. Waghmare a couple of times to our school to discuss his Son’s low grades. Although he was worried about the same but he didn’t turn up at all. Then I got suspicious when Mr. Waghmare signed on his Son’s report card without writing anything in the comments column which we encourage the parents to do. Then I called his Son to me, took him into confidence and ask him about it. I was aghast when I came to know about the truth and I immediately called CPB Office.”

“So our investigators laid a trap after receiving the complaint about the Officer”, Pasriwal said. Waghmare was caught red handed by the CPB police inspector H. H. Patil at his Andheri residence. The CPB have recorded the statements of Waghmare, his Son and the Principal along with audio-video evidence that they have collected.

Our NTMN team interrogated the colleagues of the Officer and came to know that Mr. Waghmare had a proven past record of bribery against him. He used to taken bribe from the disgruntled MEB consumers to settle their cases involving high bills. On talking to the neighbours, our team found out that he wanted his son to be a Government Officer himself and that he often turned violent on him to get better grades.

Pasriwal said this is the seventh such case in last three months in India and second in Maharashtra. Three months ago, a Constable from Mumbai Road Traffic Office was arrested for similar charges.

Senior Research Psychologist, Mr. Shivram Dubey, who counsels Government Officers on a regular basis, said that it is a bad and disturbing trend that is starting amongst the Officers.

He further said that it is highly disturbing to see the habit of Government Officers percolating in their personal life as well. He said he will work diligently with the Officers to counsel them to get rid of this habit from their personal life.

Waghmare has been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act and will be produced before District and Sessions court in Kurla on Friday.

FIFA arrests Paul, the Octopus on suspicion of match fixing

leave a comment »

Oberhausen, Germany

Early morning today, The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) have arrested Paul, the Octopus on suspicion of match fixing.

Paul had come into limelight because of its correct predicament of the winner of the games that involved Germany. One piece each of mussel was kept in two different plastic boxes. The boxes were attached flags of the two Countries, one being Germany and another being of its opponent. And the box selected by the hungry octopus is assumed to be the predicted winner.

At first, it was widely believed by the German football team fans, the journalists and the other football lovers that it was luck and a coincidence that Paul’s predicaments came true.

But when Germany beat the tournament favourites England, there were murmurs in the English camp that something was not right. President of FIFA, Mr. Joseph S. Blatter ordered an immediate and thorough enquiry on complaints received by the England football team management.

But after proper investigations and the proof obtained from yesterday’s match of Germany against Spain, the view that Paul is involved in match fixing was strengthened beyond doubt.

As per the latest press statement, FIFA has handed Paul to its Anti Corruption department and they are investigating further in this issue. A full and final report by the intelligence agency is expected by next week.
